PHY4218/5219 (Fall 2008)
This seminar is intended to introduce students to current research topics at the forefront of astrophysics and astronomy. Students will learn how to present scientific results, how to defend their research and to evaluate findings of other researchers. The seminar will include presentations of research of students, postdocs, faculty and guest speakers, and journal-club like discussions about recently published research papers from the fields of current and future areas of research at FSU. Students will learn to present scientific results.

Prerequisites: None
Evaluation of Performance:
The grade will be based on attendence (70 \% minimum, P/F) or,
if a student presents a talk, by letter grade. At the end of the seminar,
students will be required to take a quiz about the topics
covered.
