As you may have heard, On August 21, 2017, parts of the United States will experience a total eclipse of the Sun.  Unfortunately, Tallahassee is not in the path of totality, so we will only see a partial eclipse.  However, treat this event with the utmost caution:

DO NOT LOOK AT THE SUN DURING THE ECLIPSE (OR AT ANY OTHER TIME) WITHOUT EYE PROTECTION SPECIFICALLY DESIGNED FOR SOLAR VIEWING WHICH YOU KNOW IS FULLY OPERATIONAL AND SAFE.  You only have one pair of eyes - take care of them.
